LECTURES
Choose a text and sketch out the design of the headline, sketch by using
adobe illustrator and using the typefaces that lecture given. After
design finish save it. Next, create a new file
(file > new > document), turn off the facing pages setting. ( Width:
200mm, Height: 200mm, Pages: 6, Columns: 2, Gutter: 5mm ).
The
margin are ( 10mm for top, bottom, left, right > create ). Therefore,
select all the pages > then right click > turn of ' allow spreads to
shuffle ' > make it 6 pages into 3 columns > place the headline that
you design from the illustrator > paste the text > change to the
typeface that you like > kerning it )

FEEDBACK
Week 6
Specific feedback: The gaps in between paragraphs can be reduced. Try not to make the text look
as if there are many paragraphs, and also move some text to the bottom of
the tittle to reduce the blank space.
General feedback:
Add the sub headline, re-arrange the gaps.
REFLECTIONS
FEEDBACK:
In this class I feel this is very helpful for me about typography and I
had learn many things form this class such ask typefaces, kerning, and
formatting text. Next, I also experience the adobe illustrator and
photoshop. But I'm not so familiar with all those tools. I feel
formatting is helpful for me.
OBSERVATIONS:
This class was quite fun the formatting text was fun and we had
learn how to defines the aesthetic and also what makes a text
comfortable to read and it was fun.
FINDINGS:
In this few weeks I feel typography is not all about words only it
have more to learn and know the rules of typography and how we can
formatting a better text for people to read.
