PROJECTS

Individual Project 1(a) - Instructable Infographics

An infographic poster for ONE recipe selected from Pasta Grannies

Study one video, breakdown and chunk the preparation and cooking process into an instructable poster. Try to capture each Grandma’s personality and unique dish identity in your poster as part of the narrative structure.

I had choose

https://youtu.be/J_Wlzat8gT8 for my topic of this assignment

Requirements:    Poster size: 1240 × 1750 pixels / 2048 × 2048 pixels

PROCESS:

Some reference from Pinterest:

First I draft out some layout to get some idea for the arrangement.
Figure 1.4: 1st draft

Figure 1.5: 2nd draft

Figure 1.6: 3rd draft

Then I write down all the steps that I found in the video, to easily know next what step we are going to do. The step of pasta and sauce and the ingredients.

Next, I sketch out all item that I need to use in the poster ( the ingredients, pots, and some sauces) by using Procreate, then I transfer them to photoshop to do the arrangement

Figure 2.1: sketch out the pan, pot, tomato sauce, olive oil, water, vegetables

Figure 2.2: Sketch out the dough

Figure 2.3: Sketch out the celery onion, carrot, swiss chard, cutting board

Figure 2.4: Sketch out the sauce and the cabbage

Figure 2.5: Sketch out the final outcome and pasta

This is the process that I using Adobe Photoshop to do the arrangement

I change the colour tone of the poster become maroon and put some yellow shadow for the title's background, this second idea is look more vintage.
